You received a Dependent DOB error for one of the following reasons:

  1. The field was left blank. If you were unable to obtain a dependent’s Social Security number, you must provide their Date of Birth for authentication. To correct this error, contact the dependent or employee and obtain either the dependent’s SSN (preferred) or DOB, and enter it into the correct field. If you have provided a Dependent SSN, the Dependent DOB field can be left blank.
  2. The Dependent DOB is in an invalid format. The DOB must be formatted in the following manner: mm/dd/yyyy. Note that a 4-digit year is required. To correct this error, reformat the date and resubmit your data.
