Minimum
Essential Coverage is the type of coverage needed to satisfy the
Individual Mandate requirements. The most common forms include the following health plans:
- Employer sponsored coverage including COBRA
- Individual market coverage (excluding short-term and
mini-med plans)
- Medicare
- Medicaid
- TRICARE
