I made corrections for an employee, but now they have duplicate 1095-C forms, both with different SSNs. How can I get rid of the incorrect form?
This can happen if you uploaded corrected employee information without first changing the employee’s SSN via the Manage Employees tool. Unless you do this, this system assumes the new information is for a different employee, because of the different SSN. This is done to prevent any accidental deletions.
To correct an employee’s SSN:
- Update the employee’s SSN via the Manage Employees tool
- Reload the employee’s data. If their 1095-C has already been submitted, their data should be loaded as a “Corrected Batch.” If they have not been submitted to the IRS yet, you should select “Actual Batch.”
- Re-run your 1095-Cs for the new data.
- To submit the corrected forms to the IRS, go to the IRS Submissions tab and generate your new 1094-C forms.
